Lions Club of Madras Fort St George & Fort Lion's Charitable Trust organised Mass Hunger Relief for 1000 people on World Humanitarian Day


Chennai: On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day (19/08/2021) , Lions Club of Madras Fort St George  & Fort Lions Charitable Trust of District 324M celebrated the day by organising a Mass Hunger Relieving Project at ICH, Egmore for 1000 Beneficiaries

Sambhar Rice, Fryyums and Chocolates were distributed among all. The happiness and delight on faces of people were what one lives for. 

District Governor - PMJF Lion S V Manickam honoured the celebration as the chief guest. The Mass Hunger Relief Project marked the presence of PMJF Lion Prasad Hari Parulekar - Region Chairperson, MJF Lion Rimpal R Joshi - Zone Chairperson, MJF Lion Sukras Thangaraj - DC Activities, PMJF Lion S Kalamathy - DC Relief Hunger, PMJF Lion J Badrinath - DC Can Win Cancer, the PST and Members of Lions Club of Madras Fort St George. 

The whole Project was sponsored by PMJF Lion Rajesh M Joshi - DC MyLCI Coordinator. 

Various eminent district leaders and Lion members participated in the project and increased the morale of the sponsors. 

By the end of the 3 hour project, more than 1000 benificiaries including visitors/ doctors/ nurses/ health care staff/ children/ nearby residents were served.
