ZEE Tamil unveils the second edition of Zee Tamil Kutumbam Viruthugal, to award and honour the best talent.


Chennai,  September 2019: Following the grand success of the first ever edition of Zee Tamil Kutumbam Viruthugal last year, leading Tamil General Entertainment Channel (GEC)-Zee Tamil is back with a bigger and grander edition of Zee Tamil Kutumbam Viruthugal 2019 to recognise the enormous talent across the channel that has helped in its positioning as a prominent player in the market.

The prestigious trophy and categories for the awards this year was unveiled in the presence of Mr. Siju Prabhakaran, Cluster Head Zee Entertainment Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Tamildasan, South Programming Head Zee Tamil, Actor Priya Raman, Actor Shree Kumar, Anchor Archana, Anchor Deepak and Singer Srinivas, Actor Rachita, Actor Ashwini, Actor Puvi, Actor Reshma and Actor Ayesha at an event held in Chennai earlier today.
Zee Tamil Kutumbam Viruthugal aims to celebrate the journey of Zee Tamil in the General Entertainment Industry where the channel has set a benchmark with its novel fiction shows such as Sembaruthi, Yaarade Nee Mohini, Oru Oorla Oru Rajakumari and Poove Poochudava, Sathya, Nachiarpuram etc. and distinct non-fiction shows such as Junior Superstars, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa & Dance Jodi Dance, Super Mom, Jil Jung Jak, Tamizha Tamizha, Genes among others. The event will also witness the culmination of the Zee Tamil Kutumbam, as they join hands to honour and award its talent across various categories. The awards will be presented to the winners at an on-ground event scheduled to take place on 6th October 2019 at Jawaharal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai.

The categories of awards for Zee Tamil Kutumbam Viruthugal 2019 include Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Anchor, Best Child Celebrity, Best Villi, Best Comedian-Male, Best Comedían- Female, Best Judge -Male, Best Judge Female, Most Popular Marumagal, Most Popular Maamiyar, Most Promising Actor – Female, Most Promising Actor Male, Most Popular Appa, Most Popular Amma, Best Supporting Actor-Male, Best Supporting Actor- Female, Most Promising Anchor, Favorite Hero, Favorite Heroine, Favorite Pair On-Screen, Favorite Villi, Favorite Anchor, Favorite Serial and other special awards. 

The winners will be chosen through a fair voting process that will allow viewers and fans to vote for their preferred stars in the favorite categories by giving missed call respective code numbers or by logging on to the Zee Tamil Kutumbam Viruthugal Microsite on the Zee5 App/Website. Additionally, viewers can also vote directly at the Zee Tamil Canter Vans that will be travelling across Tamil Nadu to the select cities starting 18th September including Salem, Dindigul, Cuddalore, Theni, Virudhunagar, Srivilliputhur, Pollachi, Tiruppur, Erode, Pondicherry, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Tirunelveli among others. 

For the ‘Favorite’ categories, winners will be choses basis the highest number of votes received collectively through missed calls, votes registered through Zees and the canter activity. For all other categories, votes garnered through Zee5 and the canter activity alone will be taken into account to adjudge the final winners. 💢💢💢
