AP-TN Border area Police Officers Meet held in Sri City


Sri City, September 26, 2019 :- Sri City hosted a meeting of the Police Officers in the broader districts of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, convened by Mrs. B.H. Vimala Kumari, Sub Divisional Police Officer, Sri City on Thursday.  Mr. P. Mukunda Reddy, Director, Sri City extended a warm welcome to the delegates of the conclave.

Mrs. Vimala Kamari,  who presided over the session, said that the meeting, which is first of its kind, was convened on the specific suggestion of the Superintendent of Police, Chittoor.  Stressing the need for cooperation among the inter-state police and police stations around Sri City, she briefed on the points of discussion encompassing the law & order and other security issues in the region around Sri City, that forms part of Chittoor, Nellore districts of AP and Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. She requested all the officers to actively participate in the meeting and give suggestions, wherever needed for enhancing law & order in the area.

Addressing the participants of the meet Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City said,"Any industrial activity will thrive only when there is a safe & secured atmosphere. It is particularly true when we intend Foreign Direct Investment. Meetings of this kind will certainly help in resolving the issues in a quicker and effective way, and I thank the SP, Chittoor for giving us the opportunity of hosting the conclave." Seeking the cooperation of police he said,"Together let's all aim to make Sri City a model City even in 'safety & security'." 

He thanked the Sub Divisional Police Officer, Sri City for presiding over the meet and initiating discussion seeking cooperation from all the police officers in the region.

Mr. Anish, Divisional Information Officer, Intelligence Bureau, Govt. of India, spoke on the security scenario in the country and the issues related to expats. Mrs. Kalpana Dutt and Mr. Bhavani Sri Harsha, Dy. Superintendents of Police Gummidipundi (Tamil Nadu) and Gudur respectively, addressed the delegates and invited their attention on certain specific issues.

Inspectors of Arambakam, Sullurupeta, Sathyavedu circles and Special Branch, along with the respective sub-inspectors have attended the session. Altogether around 25 officers took part in the meet. 💢💢
